Conveyor Belt Steering System
The TRAckermann Conveyor Belt Steering System, sets a new standard in conveyor tracking. Utilising the Ackermann Steering geometry, originally applied in horse carts in 1878 and later in automotive design. This advanced system is engineered for the harsh demands of the mining industry. Its robust three or five-roller troughing design, featuring a five-pivot load distribution, eliminating common issues like seizing of the frame due to entrapment of material or bearing failures / collapse found in traditional single-pivot frames. By positioning servo rollers behind the frame, the system leverages the belt’s natural forces to accurately align the belt, significantly reducing spillage, belt edge wear, and stress. Compatible with standard rollers and customisable to specific troughing angles, the TRAckermann System ensures reliable and efficient belt tracking.
Keep Your Conveyor On Track With the Trackermann
Trough Tracking Frame
The Trackermann Trough Tracker is installed easily by replacing the standard 3, 4, or 5-roller trough idler frames. Designed with a 5-pivot assembly offering 28 degrees of rotational movement and rubber-lagged rollers, it delivers swift and precise realignment of misaligned conveyor belts. This robust system distributes the load evenly across two main pivot stanchions, effectively eliminating the center pivot bearing failure common in conventional tracking frames.
Return Tracking Frame
There are two Trackermann options for the return side, both utilizing the same pivot principles as the trough Trackermann. The CleanTrax model is mounted on the clean side of the belt, acting like a pressure roller. With higher tension on the tracking frame, it offers enhanced responsiveness and is best positioned 10–15 meters before the tail pulley. The Trackermann Return Tracker, on the other hand, is mounted on the dirty side of the return belt and also incorporates the same pivot geometry for effective tracking control.
