Tramp metal detection · Conveyor technology

Find the tramp metal before it finds your crusher.

Veytech Conveyor Technology designs, manufactures and supports conveyor protection equipment and components for Australian mining, led by the TripTronic 3000, a tramp metal detector built for high-magnetic ore and belts running up to 9 m/s.

Veytech Conveyor Technology brings together three companies that are passionate about solving conveyor related issues, the ongoing problems sites face every day. Together we deliver industry leading, innovative products and services to overcome them.

What we manufacture

Products that keep your conveyor protected, on track and running.

Each of our headline products started as a problem on a client's conveyor that no off-the-shelf product could solve. Alongside them we design and manufacture the pulleys, rollers, guide rollers and conveyor hardware that keep belts running between shutdowns.

TripTronic 3000 · How it works

Ore decays fast. Tramp decays slowly. The TripTronic measures the difference.

  1. PulseThe transmitter coil above the belt fires a short electromagnetic pulse into the ore stream.
  2. Switch off and readWhen the pulse stops, eddy currents keep circulating in anything conductive. The receiver coil below the belt senses the secondary field they produce.
  3. Wait out the oreThe ore's field collapses in microseconds. The tramp metal's field persists. The controller measures only in a late window after the ore has gone quiet.
  4. Compare with the learned baselineThe controller has already learned what the empty and loaded belt look like in that late window. It subtracts that baseline from what it sees now and ignores small changes. Anything left over is metal. When it rises above the trip level the belt stops, and the controller tells you how far the belt travelled so the tramp can be found and removed.

Services

Engineering, electrical and problem-solving services for the whole conveyor.

Mechanical design

Custom conveyor components and assemblies such as frames, guards, transfer and retrofit hardware, designed to existing structures and site standards, with fabrication drawings.

Conveyor design & tracking audits

Whole-of-system assessment of alignment, idler condition, load profile and tracking behaviour, with practical recommendations to stop belt wander and structural damage.

Belt thickness testing & training

Ultrasonic wear assessment of cover and carcass, trend reporting to plan replacement, and training so site crews can run the testing themselves.

Electrical installation & integration

Wiring, control integration and PLC / Modbus interfacing for conveyor equipment, delivered by Veytech Electrical Services.

Commissioning & calibration

Installation supervision, baseline learning, Auto Win window scans and test-piece verification for TripTronic 3000 systems, plus field firmware updates.

Conveying & bulk-handling problem solving

Veytech Onsite Solutions (Veycon VOS) investigates conveying and bulk-materials issues on site and engineers the fix, from concept and design development through to drawings and supply.
